DRAGON'S FYRE SPECS:

Built: 1994 Overhauled 1999

Engine: General Electric J-85-17

Thrust: 6,000 Pounds

Fuel Capacity: 30 Gallons drag strip / 60 Gallons air shows

Weight: 1100 Pounds Empty

Length: 215 Inch Wheel Base,  24’ 7” overall

DRAGON’S FYRE burns close to 2 gallons of
kerosene per second when in afterburner.

Dave took the car down to the bare chassis in 1999
and rebuilt it from the ground up.  Improvements included:
drivers compartment, new burner and burner fuel system,
and upgraded NHRA/IHRA Chassis specifications.
New paint completed the upgrade program

   About the Driver/Owner:
Dave is 44 years old and an Airline Pilot for a Major Airline.
Dave has over 10,000 flying hours in everything
from Crop Dusters to Lear Jets.


Dave is also a Licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.

Dave and the Dragon’s Fyre have been featured
on ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports Network and Horsepower TV.
